Skillet Cheesy Beef Ziti








What You'll Need



  • One (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • One cup water
  • One half teaspoon black pepper
  • One lb ground beef
  • One lb rotini pasta
  • One medium onion, finely chopped
  • One teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • One teaspoon salt
  • Three garlic cloves, minced
  • Two cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Two tablespoons minced fresh parsley

How to Make It

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until just barely tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is no longer pink.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  4. Stir crushed tomatoes, water, seasonings, and cooked pasta into meat.
  5. Continue cooking ziti over medium-low heat 5-10 minutes stirring frequently until completely heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and top with shredded cheese and parsley.
  7. Cover skillet and let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve ziti warm.
